Kit Features
Showing off some of our specially-sourced Kit favorites, each with its own story.
Baoulé Trio
From tool production to this textile’s coloring and weaving, every aspect has been handmade by Baoulé artisans on the Ivory Coast of West Africa. Pronounced “bow-lay,” this brightly-colored organic cotton cloth is traditionally worn in Akan tribal celebrations. Still worn today, it also serves as a major source of income for the people of Côte d'Ivoire. Often loomed in strips, we’ve united each deep indigo panel with zig-zagged stitching for added style and strength. And even better—each set is one-of-a-kind. Mustard lines remain standard as white design elements vary across each pillow set, making each set uniquely yours.
Shibori Duo
This handmade Shibori textile hails from Noida, India and is flanked with 100% natural cotton mud cloth from Mali, Africa – making for a worldly addition to your space. Originating in Japan, this design style comes from one of six resist-dying techniques. 'Itajime Shibori’ is the style we opted for in this kit, which is created by folding organic cotton cloth accordion-style and dyeing the edges to create a triangle-like pattern. The Shibori Duo styles beautifully in front of the Baoulé Trio while the Magu lumbar effortlessly tops off this tailor-made pillow arrangement.
The Sophia
IW-Designed specially for this kit, each handcrafted terra-cotta sconce has been rinsed, sun-dried and sanded to achieve a light matte finish. Each shade pairs with a premium, 15’ brass fabric cord (with an in-line switch), and an easy-to-install brass swag hook (wall anchor and screw included). The Sophia Sconce elegantly suspends over the center of any nightstand while warm, soft light emits from each to create a naturally relaxed bedroom mood.
